These alkaline, manganese dioxide batteries are great for use with tape recorders, pocket calculators, smoke detectors, transistor radios, remote controls and other electronic equipment. Each AAA battery frequently lasts more than twice as long as the samesize, carbonzinc battery, depending on type of use. Cylindrical battery has flat terminals. Nominal voltage is 1.5 volts. Nonrechargeable batteries are packaged by people with disabilities. They meet American National Standards Institute 18.1 (ANSI 18.1) for portable primary alkaline battery cells.
